How much will a DrJoe show cost?
Schools = Shows are $8 a child, minimum $260 (inc GST), which includes an hour show for everyone and the half hour workshop per class. Only two classes are needed to cover minimum cost! If you want just the show, its $5 per students (inc GST, min’m 60 students), or you can upgrade to a deluxe booking with a 1 hour workshop for only $12 a child. I just need a room large enough to fit everyone for the show (students sit on the floor), and six large tables to set up gear for the workshops.

Child care/ Kindy shows = $6 a child, minimum $260 (inc GST, $220 for centers with less than 22 children) includes shortened show and workshop. Lots of age appropriate fun!  I just need a room to set up in with six tables and no chairs.**Kindy bookings can only guaranteed in terms 1 and 4.**

Vacation care programs = $10 a child, minimum $260 (inc GST). Includes a 45 minute show with 1/2 hour hands on workshop (or you can increase show and workshop to 1 hour each for only $15!) Alternatively to workshops, some centers prefer science activities where studnts build science toys to take home and keep.

Science Club=$40 a child, includes a 5 week course and basic materials (some materials may need to be provided). A science club needs 25 min and 35 max students.

Information about DrJoe's shows.
A show is a great way for large numbers of children to learn. Shows can have up to 200 students and run for an hour.

Add a workshop to your show if you have a class group (40 max). Workshops involve playing with a room full of science toys that I bring. They are very popular with kids of all ages, and I usually do a workshop for each class after a show. Workshops run for an added 30 minutes after the show.

Science activities involve an hour of science activities where I help students to make interesting science toys that they can take home and keep, such as gak, bottle divers, and balloon rockets. The typical program runs during science clubs, after school hours or during lunch break. Materials are usually very simple and provided by the school or home, and I take time to explain the science inside the science toy! Minimum 30 students per week over a 5 week course.

Preparing your classroom / venue for a DrJoe visit.
On the day I request a single room to work from due to the large amount of equipment that I bring. The room requires working power points and good ventilation: air conditioning is highly recommended. Usually a normal classroom will suffice. I move all the chairs out, put the tables in six stations around the room, and leave the centre for children to sit on the floor. Needless to say, I require a teacher present at all times. Parents are very welcome at all my shows, and up to 4 grown up helpers are recommended (but by no means necessary, especially in upper primary school levels). Please arranged for music students to attend  their music lessons at a different time, and please do not schedule any fire drills on the day.
